The Basin Blocker has been shown to singificantly reduce hydrocarbons including motor oil, diesel oil, vegtable oil, emulsified oils,  polynuclear aromatic hydrocarbons, along with collecting sediment and trash.  All storm drain inserts are hand made to the exact specifications in our warehouse using our quality control criteria.

BASIN BLOCKER OIL TESTING METHODS:

Basin Blocker is shown to remove more than 97% of a diesel motor oil mix at (9.7g out of 10g) in a sample tank. Emulsified oils have been reduced by 96% (from 140ppm to 6ppm) at a flow rate of 100 gal./min. per 1 sq.ft. section of Basin Blocker AQDO Material. Per ASTM Method F726-81

WASTE DISPOSAL METHOD FOR OIL BAGS ONLY:

1. If unused, no special precautions are necessary. If used, dispose of in accordance with federal, state and local regulations.
2. In certain types of cleanup applications, the nature to the material recovered will classify the resulting spent material as a hazardous component.
3. When the material is deemed hazardous, it should be disposed of via an approved hazardous waste disposal service and the appropriate manifest obtained.
